Alcance ontológico de la narración y su rol en la comunicación mediática

Resumen

En este artículo se sostiene la tesis de que la narración es una condición estructural de la existencia humana y de que tiene un alcance ontológico fundamental. Así, la premisa de partida de este ensayo es que las personas, los colectivos y las instituciones otorgan significación a la realidad, y a su experiencia de ella, a través de diferentes narraciones de carácter histórico. Con el fin de reflexionar acerca de la estrategia y la estructura narrativa de los medios de comunicación, en primer lugar, se realiza una revisión de los conceptos narración, narrativa y narratividad desde la semiología, la semiótica y los estudios del discurso. En segundo lugar, se analiza la estructura narrativa del discurso mediático, en un sentido amplio. En tercer lugar, se explora cómo el storytelling impregna los medios de comunicación tradicionales. Para concluir, se pone de manifiesto la impronta narrativa de los nuevos medios de comunicación y redes sociales.
