On Accreditation in Arts. A review of the processes of curricular innovation in the Faculty of Arts of Universidad de Chile.

The purpose of this article is to offer some reflections on the academic accreditation processes within the framework of the arts based on a critical relationship on the stages that lead to the implementation of a curricular innovation plan in the Theater Department of the University of Chile. In addition to offering a brief historical induction, this writing allows to know the disciplinary, curricular and didactic dimensions of the process, together with offering an impression from the teaching experience both on the stage of elaboration of the new plan, as well as on the reception by the academic faculty. . The views inscribed in this essay allow us to deduce the complexity of a process in which its authors - varying the various perspectives and positions in relation to the object - try to offer a story based on a situated experience, and, therefore, particular but that At the same time, it allows us to think about central aspects of the relationship between Art, University, Education and Society.
