Coerência narrativa e desinformação: o caso dos grupos antivacinas na América Latina

O estudo investiga o papel das narrativas na persistência das redes de desinformação de grupos antivacinas. Foi realizada uma análise de rede e textual de um corpus de 1.271.115 mensagens do Telegram entre 2020 e 2024. A análise revela a relevância da coerência narrativa na difusão da desinformação, transcendendo os principais atores da rede. Os resultados apontam para a necessidade de considerar a desinformação como produto das tensões do ecossistema informativo diante da crise nas instituições e seus efeitos nas sociedades contemporâneas. Portanto, propõe-se uma abordagem que vai além de considerá-la simplesmente como um produto de “atores maliciosos” ou um problema de factualidade. Daí a importância de considerá-la como um fenômeno sistêmico a partir de uma abordagem que contemple tanto as relações de poder quanto os contextos culturais situados para seu combate.
