Abstract

Following a descriptive design, love styles and romantic attachment bonds were studied in an intentional sample of Psychology students. The target was to know the predominant styles by means of the Love Attitudes Scale and The Attachment Scale in romantic contexts. Information about romantic ties of the participants was also gathered. Results show a preference to Eros style of love, in coincidence with previous studies. Nevertheless, the most frequent romantic attachment type was the fearful one, in clear dissent to previous works published on the topic. Among the obtained results, it is emphasized that 50 % of the sample expressed doubts towards the possibility to marry a person who assembles all the longed requisites but of whom one was not in love - when denial would have been the expected response according to the predominant love style.
