Abstract

Concebir reportajes fotográficos en soportes multimedia plantea nuevos desafíos para los fotógrafos. Hay que aprehender nuevos lenguajes y formarse en ellos. Es necesario incursionar en el mundo audiovisual y, sobre todo, mantener en la fotografía la esencia de la narración.

Conceiving multimedia photo reports poses new challenges for photographers. New languages must be apprehended and learnt. It is necessary to venture into the audiovisual world and, above all, maintaining the essence of story-telling in photography.

Author Biography

Pablo Porciúncula, Universidad Católica del Uruguay

(Montevideo, 1971) es licenciado en Comunicación Social por la Universidad Católica del Uruguay (UCU). Desde el año 2000 es profesor titular de Fotografía en la misma universidad. Es profesor responsable del taller de Narración Fotográfica en la Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV), San Antonio de los Baños, y fue profesor de intercambio en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Barcelona. Participó como expositor y conferencista invitado en actividades de divulgación de fotografía, organizadas por el Centro Municipal de Fotografía, Montevideo. Tiene una amplia experiencia como fotoperiodista en varios medios locales y en la Agence France-Presse (AFP). Sus fotografías han sido publicadas en libros, textos y discos. Actualmente es editor de fotografía en AFP; y editor de fotografía en la revista dixit desde su creación en 2006. pablo.porciuncula@afp.com
