Information For Authors

Dixit receives submissions from foreign and Uruguayan authors, both from inside and outside of the publishing entity. Are you interested in publishing in the magazine? It is recommended to review the About the journal page to consult the section policies of the journal, as well as the Guidelines for submissions. Authors must register in the journal before publishing or, if they are already registered, they can simply log in and start the five-step process.

How to prepare the anonymous file for review

To ensure double-blind review, authors should prepare a file that does not contain any information that might reveal their identity to potential reviewers.

Authors should consider the following:

- The document should be classified as an "anonymous version" when uploaded to the platform and should not contain any authors’ information in the file name.

- The anonymous file will not contain the authors' names or institutional affiliations, nor will it contain acknowledgements or funding information that reveals the institution to which they belong.

- In those passages where institutions or geographical coordinates are mentioned, the text should be replaced by crosses or, if necessary for understanding, by a description of the deleted element, in straight brackets.

        Examples:

"The study was conducted among the students of
         xxxxxxxxxxxxx"

"The study was conducted among the students of
          the [study center]”

- Citations to previous papers by any of the authors of the manuscript should be replaced by the word "Author". In the list of references, those entries shall be placed at the beginning only identified by the word "Author" and the year in parentheses.

Example in the text: "As already studied (Author,
        2019)"

Example in the reference list: Author. (2019).

- Authors should check in the text processor that no metadata identifying any user with name or surname is left in the file. In Word for Windows, you can check and delete this information in the menu "Information > Inspect document". In Word for MacOs, you can do this in "Protect Document > Delete Personal Information When Saving".
